I apologize to those who already have gotten me their haiku. I will still endeavor to post the results by Thanksgiving.

A Christmas Photo Contest

bleak midwinter

In the West, sooner or later, most musicians or musical groups will get around to making a Christmas album. Sometimes it is seen as a symbol of having arrived. Even Bob Dylan has recently come in line, though he arrived a long time ago and then departed and then arrived…. Well, it is high time that the Crim-Dassler photo contests got in on the act, though it will produce an album of a different sort.

There is $175 in prize money. Check it out!

Haiku Double Down

haiku new

You may now submit up to two pairs of haiku for this year’s haiku contest, but submitting a single pair is still most acceptable, indeed, highly desirable.

Get your haiku in! There is only a week and change until the October 22nd deadline.

Plus, in other exciting news, I know have four great judges for the contest including two published poets, the inimitable winner of last year’s contest, and a friend with a love of words and good ear.

Speaking of the winner from last year, Bob is currently blogging haiku in anticipation of the contest. Check out his great haiku and other poems.

Thank you so much to all who have entered. The excitement builds.

Some Help With a Contest

Dear readers who are bloggers, Facebookies, etc. would you consider doing a post (a status update, a tweet…) to drum up some support for the photo contest I am hosting along with Edward Crim Photography and Forest Park 365? We are very interested in getting a good pool of entrants.

Did I mention the top prize is $100.

Now some of you who have entered or are planning to do so may be thinking, “Now, if I advertise this, that means that there may be more entries, which means my entry will have less of chance.” Bah! Don’t you believe it! Advertise away and let your entry stand shoulder to shoulder with the rest of them :)

Please feel free to use any combination of the image and link below in your contest, but please do include the link. And thank you in advance to anyone who obliges.

Upping the Ante on the Evoking Spring Photo Contest!

Well, Ed Crim of Edward Crim Photography and Forest Park 365 when asked to be a judge suggested that we sweeten the pot a little. So now the top prize is $100! I have also changed the dates of submission, the judging rules, the need for model contracts, and the criteria for digital altering of pictures.
