been a long time gone
heard you’re blowin’ into town
snow, don’t let me down

  1. Neil, “been a long time gone” is really lyrical, could almost sing it. However, I have been in Boston for ten days, five days longer then I had planned. On return to Maine that two feet of snow and then some is here too… so I would end with –

“make haste to drift around another part o’town”

But on the other hand, I hope to get in a bit of snowshoeing in on this or some sunny day soon. Having fun with your haiku turned country song… Meg Yates (Elena’s mother)

    • Oh, dear, Mrs. Yates. I imagine that would be frustrating. I do hope that you get to enjoy it as well. I like your modification to my haiku! May God be with you in your travels.
