Culture is Not Optional, the parent organization of catapult magazine, which has given me a venue to express ideas-creative and reflective, is having a sale to support the renovation of a school house where they might expand and embody the vision of the organization more fully.
The Culture Make Sale is an online sale of goods and services curated by *culture is not optional that will run from September 1 through September 30, 2011. In 2009, *culture is not optional purchased the historic Huss School in Three Rivers, Michigan. As we look to the future, this fundraising event will help kick start the renovation of the property into a place of hope, justice, creativity and grace.
I have donated some prints to the sale, which of course I would be delighted if you would purchase, but, my goodness, there are so many beautiful and creative goods and services to be had at such amazing prices, that you had better hurry! I have gotten my mugs and canned goods!
Lovely. Sweet. Warming. Inspiring. Earthy.
Well, my exhibit at Meshuggah will only be up for a week or so more, so if you were interested in seeing it hanging, now would be the time to go.
I have been very pleased at the number of sales as of this writing. Yet, even though I have just moved into a new flat and have wall space for many of these (indeed, I have already thought about specific places for some of them), I would be far more interested in finding these pieces good homes other than my own.
To that end, for this final week, please feel free to take $5 off the price of any one piece in the show and $15 off if you buy a pair , but you must mention this blog post. (I just had to throw that last phrase in to make this an authentic ad :)
Now, I realize that this is a little bit unfair to those who have already very kindly purchased pieces (thank you), but I will still happily apply the discount if you purchase a second piece!
Just in time for the holiday season, in troubled financial times when your fine art dollar is stretched so thin to where it is almost non-existent, the Dassler Effect is having a sale! For the month of December only, all remaining framed prints from the Pied Beauty 1.5 exhibit will be $15 off their already low, low prices!! So, come on down to CRAVE and shop, shop, shop. All inventory must go! Come early to avoid the lines.
In all seriousness, though I am very happy with the number of sales I have made thus far, I would like to do a bit better for the cause this exhibit is going towards. To that end, I am reducing the price of each of the framed prints in the exhibit by $15. I think these framed prints were a pretty good deal to begin with, so, well, they are an even better deal now. Finally, as a reminder, though some of these may make decent Christmas presents and I would be happy to provide a mini color print if you want to wrap something up for Christmas, you would not be able to get the actual print until January.
And finally, finally remember that 100% of the proceeds go toward improving the health care of many people in Haiti.
