  2. It was a powerful sermon. I think I shall put up the link in this post when it appears on the web site. It was interesting with how he said the law was good and shows us the right and yet provides no power to live it out. I have heard that before and that Christ is our righteousness, but what was new to me was his statement that this wretched state occurs initially and reasserts itself again only when we focus on trying to achieve the goodness of the law ourselves. That was a good way of putting it. And still he did not say that then the goodness of the law should be ignored because it is unattainable, but that we need to look to Christ to have it be born in us. Nice, though it is so, so easy to forget.
