What impeccable timing she has. Queen Magnolia, who provides me with great photographic delights all the year around, has donned her yellow Autumnal coat just in time for Halloween. And the leaves she has already shed make for a nice kirtle on the lawn. Alas, the children who used to climb in her branches and would yearly beg for a Halloween party all seem to have moved away, and in my ennui I have not thought to invite the newcomers on the block. The cut-out ghosts that a friend gave me would look spookily awesome amongst the leaves of the tree right about now, though!
