Artist Statement
I enjoy crafting simple things, including these branches, as an opportunity to think and pray. I am moved by the current and impending difficulties for the people of Pakistan, which are compounded by the recent flooding. I believe that small things–prayers or a cup of clean water or a meal of rice can be used by God to care for those who are suffering. I’m thankful for the opportunity for all of us to learn more about what has happened and what is needed, to pray for our brothers and sisters and to give where we are moved.
